I use Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and have Steam installed on my E-drive. I have WotN and the Ice and Fire add-on. I renamed the original WotN folder to ORIGINAL and unzipped the 2.8 GB file I downloaded without any errors. When I started Bonfire (KBWotN.exe) from E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\King's Bounty - Warriors of the North the screen turned black for a few seconds and after a while the error in the attached screenshot appeared. I tried starting the game from the Steam thingie in the system tray and I saw the count down to the 1C logo, after which the game crashed with the same error. As a last option I started the game in DEV-mode but nothing changed in the error message. I also checked the event viewer logs and found this error: Faulting application name: KBWotN.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x52d7fa90 Faulting module name: KBWotN.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x52d7fa90 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x002205ba Faulting process id: 0x2ab0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d3e9e50b2eea47 Faulting application path: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\King's Bounty - Warriors of the North\KBWotN.exe Faulting module path: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\King's Bounty - Warriors of the North\KBWotN.exe Report Id: 3f2aaf6b-75e2-45ff-a0e7-6784a70d990c Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: When I renamed the folders again, I could play WotN and Ice and Fire without any problems. Any ideas? If you need more info, just let me know. |
