The fonts are stored in the ui.shadvs file. Problem is, as I said, I currently can't figure out how to add new strings to the shadvs file using HxD without messing it up.

Are you wanting to translate Alekhine's Gun or the other two games? If the former, the programs do not work for it, you'll have to do it via HxD.
