4.12.2 client and server. NO MODS
This is not a version issue, people posted this problem on forums dating to 2004 and 2011. Everyone with the same version can connect and fly on the server. I, the person hosting it can connect and load in, but upon clicking 'fly" I am disconnected from the server.

I let a few days go by: flew on other servers on hyperlobby, re-enabled small mods, restarted the router, changed the initial map the server starts on and back.
FIXED! Don't have this problem anymore, can connect and fly without a problem. Strange bug, dont know how I fixed it, but something I did resolved it.

Good to hear you have resolved the problem.
Next step is to upgrade to 4.13 and to publish IP and to invite others to fly
