iL2 Forgotten Battles :(

This is the name of the patch i downloaded: il2_fb_v1.0_to_v1.22.exe So it really seems to be for Forgotten Battles. I tried what u said about creating a folder in my C drive and moving the file there to then unzip it there. The unzipping happened but the game still says version 1.0
Do you recommend I just get the electronic version of il2 1946?

Yes, Get the Last Published version,
IL-2 1946, and patch as Bearcat recommends.

For about $10 you can get a better flight model, more maps, planes, aircraft carriers and jets and cool parts that have been worked on and still are.

What's your time worth? How much time will you spend playing?

But be sure to get clear and okay on setting it up for your OS and stick.
And have or get a USB flash drive to back up your installed&patched copy to.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Forgotten Battles came as version 2.0, and patch 1.22 was the last patch for the very original Il-2, which was version 1.0.

I have 1946, which is 4.07, I am considering buying the ultimate pack if it's really 4.11, and if it's not 4.11 I would be very interested to know that.

It lists 1946 but how many ways I don't trust marketer's repackaged "deals"...

Yessiree .. that s why I told him that he probably weas trying to put the original IL2 patches on FB .. and that of course will not work..

If you have 46 .. why buy anything else? Patch it to 4.09.. save a copy.. then patch it up to 4.12.2 save a copy.. then add whatever mod pack you want HSFX 7.xx or SAS MODACT 5.3.
