I recently replaced my 2Gb GTX560Ti with a 2Gb GTX660Ti. Not sure about the performance improvement, seems pretty much similar but with the Nvidea 600 series cards (and higher) you get the added benefit of being able to record high quality 60fps video in game.
Tried a few ATI but Nvidea is my first choice.

One item that you need to check prior to installing a new graphics card is the power unit or PSU,as it's more commonly known,this is always overlooked by new guys.
Basically ensure that wattage of your PSU is more powerful than your praphics card

Love my GTX 670 2gb, plays CoD perfectly, and pretty cheap these days.
