I have a question for you. what program is needed to build fighters and weapons?
I have some ideas for new ships and new aliens. And another. How would you test them (A program to simulate battles)?

if you want to build fighters, you need to use the IMD Editor V3: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/attachm...achmentid=2437

a simple instruction is at the Motherships mod thread Page 23

For testing, the only way is starting the game and see what happens...

i heard IMD Files(Ships meshes) can be edited with 3dsmax with a plugin provided by EliteGamesTeam

Michael_Moon said once he knows three editors which can IMD files, i asked him per PM what the 3rd one would be but he didn't respond... hmm

I assume the 1st is IMD Editor, 2nd is 3ds max with export plugin and 3rd is their own (Star Rover team's) editor which is a simplified version of 3ds+plugin with some additional options.

btw it's been a long time since I was around here. Nice to see some people still play and mod this game.

GW you are the main reason I still pick up the game and play. Your mods are the glue for other mods

@Kolomans

1. I never really knew how to add ships to the store stations, sorry i can't help you there.

2.
did you changed a biggun for a rocket?

Then you need to change the <rockets/> to -> <rockets>3<rockets/> in the carcasses.xml, change the "3" to the number of rockets you added in the IMD Editor, and change the <big_guns>NUMBER<big_guns/> to the new actual slots of "bigguns" in the ship IMD file
