I just did a quick google search, as you no doubt have done yourself. But I came across something that you may have missed and might be useful.
I found a thread where someone called Andy Saunders comments briefly on the aircraft. when I went to his tumbler account it seems he is quite a distinguished historian, writing about the Battle of Britain etc. You might ask him about the plane.
