I m not a newcomer but didn t hear about all the things above...they re from ubizoo right? Could you explain to us?
The wood made plane discusion was about the Hurri not the spit IIRC.

There is a certain member, I believe XylonX who proposed that Oleg Maddox make a wooden Spitfire. My guess is that the illustration he posted had the interior colors as brown instead of British grey-green which caused confusion.

Oleg said something like, "Close that book and never open again (in somewhat broken Rusglish)".

I know with 99% certainty that XylonX did say "Oleg Maddox why spitfire not have TUBE LAUCHER (sic)".

More lols ensued.

No no... it was definitely about the Spitfire. Oleg wrote that the fellow should close the book that he read it in and never open again. This random guy on the forum was complaining about how the Spitfire made of wood was not as tough as the Russian made of wood aircraft. It was a hilarious discussion!
