Apparently, yes.

See what happen with control column when Autopilot mode 22 is selected (He-111) with AFN-1/2 tuned to SBA Hat Antenna.

The movement is progressive, not show in this .GIF.

EDIT - This control column movement dont have relation with Lorenz, is for level bombing, to acelerate the plane (He.111, JU-8.

Not sure, but I seemed to hear a continuous mute tone, at one of the landings ...

*AFN-1/2 instrument seems bugged to track NDB signal in homing mode.
Horizontal needle detect signal intensity as expected, but vertical needle
swing crazy left/right
.
EUREKA!

Is just matter of keeping the "Course Autopilot Preset" equaled with "Directional Gyro" reading, using "Course Autopilot Adjust", so the AFN-1 needle is ably to track SBA Hat Antenna signal correctly.

If there is much variation between the two instruments, the AFN-1 needle goes "crazy".

Is not need engage Autopilot Mode 22 (probable make a automated "glide path"... dont know...), adjust "Course Autopilot Preset" to allow proper operation of AFN-1.

Lorenz in CloD is more "sophisticated" than in IL-2.

End of "night adventures", no more night in CloD... ?

EDIT - False alarm. With TF patch things goes dark after 1:30.
