I think that Hurricane end with a problem that happened with Blenheim in the first version of game.
Their rudder, centered, is adjusted a bit to right, see: ![]() Pictures with F8 camera view. Rudder and rudder trim centered. In right a Spitfire, with a centered rudder. Easy to notice if you put the plane in Autopilot, put the camera in F8 and disable the Autopilot, the rudder goes right. You can counter this with key commands (Need assign key to this in Aircraft). "Right (or left) rudder one notch". Two or tree taps to left put Hurri "on rails". The downsize of this is that every time you use joystick rudder (pedal or twist) this adjust is zeroed and rudder goes right (centered position for game). People with rudder pedal with programing software - CH, Saitek(?) can made a profile for Hurricane with a adjust to compensate this. BTW - I dont know if this rudder adjust to right is "historical"... EDIT - I test this with no axis mapped for rudder and joystick unplugged, same result. Not only the rudder, also the flaps are in a "bank to right" position when centered. I have many doubts that this is historical, but I'm sure that it's very annoying.

Something more: Yesterday night I could finally find a joystick setting to get a straight direction of flight. But the Hurricane was slightly heading upward, so I adjusted the elevator trim. As soon as I did that, the plane was banking right again

It's all related, change one variable rudder, pitch, power etc and you will have to re trim the plane.
Remember that the hurricane and spitfire are trimmed on the ground for cruise settings. I find that it shouldn't roll too much at 2650rpm 4 and half lb boost. Any more boot than that and it will roll. |

I'd just like to chip in and say that I have the exact same issue as the original poster.
- All planes bank right with joystick (a new cyborg fly 5) or with keyboard when the stick is unplugged - Joystick is OK in other games and in windows settings. - Happens with full realism and zero realism settings - Isn't torque (I certainly get that pulling left when the setting is enabled) - removed and re-installed the game but did not help. Also uninstalled my Razer Nostromo in case it was interfering but no joy. I'm new to the game and learning on a 109 (always loved that plane!) which has no rudder trim so the only solution I found was one or two taps of the rudder notch left button or to hold a constant left pressure (tiring after a while!) If there is a solution out there I'd really love to hear it, as it would increase my enjoyment of the game greatly. Thanks in advance! |

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I also have a saitek stick and my planes are acting in the same exact way as described here. I had no problems with dual engine planes but all the single seater fighters with single engines rotate to the right all the time no matter speed or altitude or anything else.
If there is any help for this problem at all or if it's just the joystick that would be great. |

It seems that this is a bug and nothing can be done to stop it from what I've gathered. This is disappointing since I just bought this game. Have been playing flaming cliffs 2 for a while now and wanted to try some prop planes and I can't even get the chance to enjoy them!
