Actually we went through this with Saitek. Just when we thought that it was going well they decided to do the X65 Force Sensing not Force Feedback. I can just imagine at the meetings when they committed to do it they where thinking how "next gen" they were and how "cool" they stick was. The only people who wanted such a stick are F-16 fans.

If they made a stick that was full size, came with a kg13 grip and a matching set of force feedback rudder pedals, that would spark my interest. To make that a possibility though flight sim makers would have to take FF seriously and I see no sign of that thus far. Currently in Il2 1946 we can only connect I FF controller so what's the point? And M$ffb's do almost last forever if you exclude the microswitches that aren't much hassle to replace. Another more expensive short stick isn't going to be any better is it.
I'd personally also like a FF trim wheel as well as ther was a distinct notch felt in a RL life 109 when the trim wheel was moved into the correct position. TD great as they are have shown no interest in upgrading FF, (or in FF at all) and as this is the only flight sim I have any real interest in, it's a no from me. If Thrustmaster gave a monkey's about FF they'd have done it by now. |

Well, after discontinuing G940, the future of force feedback joysticks looks quite grim. I've seen that there is a FFB mod for Warthog, but costs alone 450 Eur

The mod is for Force Sensing not force Feedback. F-16 F-18 fans will go for it.

You're right - at first look I thought it was FFB and it is FSSB. This means at present there is no FFB HOTAS on the market and that could be a chance for Thrustmaster as it has a good reputation.
