There is a minimum altitude ceiling of 3000ft and a maximum altitude ceiling of around 16000ft to get this bombsight to work correctly,so you have to work within these altitudes to be accurate. Also just as a tip remember to switch to 'salvo' to release all of your payload, the default distribution is set on 'single',we want Jerry to appreciate all of our gifts!! It is helps to pal up with a friendly pilot online to really appreciate the bombsight at it's best IMO.You will make mistakes, but boy when you get it right there is nothing more satisfying

I knew that there's no automatic drop in Blenheim. What I meant is that, while in BR.20 (also with manual drop) once adjusted the bombsight stays still until I adjust it again accordingly to the final speed and altitude, in Blenheim when I shift to the bombardier position (and the aircraft is descending for final approach) the bombsight is moving exactly like when I am setting it. The graduated ring on its top rotates without any influence from me. It looks as if there was an automatic regulation on the current values of speed and altitude.

In this picture I am a 7.800 foot and jump to bombardier position and see Wimperis "auto-adjust" to 3.000 foots. http://i48.tinypic.com/29kxbw7.jpg After set altitude (now ~9.500 foot), I dive to ~500 foot and the Wimperis keep the previous adjust of ~9.500 foot when I jump to bombardier position. http://i47.tinypic.com/34javjm.jpg I notice that frontal horizontal part of Wimperis move accord rapid change on pitch of aircraft, maybe stabilizing. *In RL the pilot are not able to set the Wimperis like we do in game. One thing that help keep tracking of target is adjust the right engine with a slight lower RPM than the left, so Blenheim keep a more straight course. http://i45.tinypic.com/nwarg5.jpg Sokol1 |
