Forgot the option "More than a year ago".
I will probably check once every year, just to see if it runs on Win 7 32 bit.
----
Edit: the Launcher still crashes while playing back the Black Death track. No improvement here, see you one year from now.

Lets be honest, you never really played the sim.

But people like you helped kill it.

By buying it?
I bought CloD twice but I still don't play it, it's just not that great a game.

Actualy it is a very good ww2 cfs with ground breaking detail and features that will not have the time to blossom into a great sim.

My point was (if not infered) was that many people spent more time telling other people that they dont like the sim or its unplayable than actualy playing it(or building a proper pc so they can). The quote above is another example.

Trust me, just cause somebody claims they purchased the sim is far from supporting it or its genre.

If somebody buys a game and finds that it's rubbish, they are perfectly correct in warning others before they waste their time and money on it, "trust me", that's how the market works.
Personally, I waited so long for the IL2 sequel, and wanted it to be everything that was promised. For eighteen months I tried getting it to work through a number of hardware upgrades and it was entirely unplayable, but eventually I was in a position to build a new system that I knew would be able to run it so I would be able to finally enjoy the game. Sadly, it just doesn't have anything in it that keeps me wanting to play it.
Certainly, it has _some_ very cool touches, but for me there's zero immersion or gameplay value.
Yes, it may well have developed into something even half as good as IL2, but any game can only do that from a solid base that keeps people playing it to begin with.
Does anybody know how many people bought CloD and how many people are still actually playing it? What percentage of purchasers were/are actually able to run it in a playable state?

Over-stating the qualities of the game is also not supporting it, all that does is entice more people to buy it resulting in even more disappointed customers sharing their poor opinions of it.

Do you play online or offline? I've never got into the stock campaigns, but apparently there is some fairly good third party campaigns both paidware and for free.

I normally go online at ATAG using teamspeak and if there are a few people online 20-30+ is quite common. Even with 270ms ping rate I get much better responce and less warping than I get in the original IL2. The Scripted missions are really good especially the ones with radar plots and the Refuel and rearm.

On special events they can get 100+ online at once, though the mission objects normally get blitzed and they are short matches.

Edit - just saw your post about on-line - dissregard comments where appropriate.

I just noticed the ATAG in your user name.
Perhaps you enjoy CloD for its online qualities?
I have zero interest in online flying so the game's online qualities are worthless for me.
