The way I look at it by now is this. Say you own a business and one of your suppliers is developing a new product. You intend to buy this product however in order to use it you will need to invest in new tooling and machines for your process. That supplier however keeps missing deadlines and fails to communicate with you time and time again about the fact that he is likely going to miss a deadline, why he missed a deadline and has left you in the dark about the status of the product for years now. He's show you a couple of pictures of nuts and bolts but nothing substantial like a video of the machine in operation. When asked about updates he tells you he will show you something "In two weeks" or "Next monday" but those also come and go without them ever reliably coming up with the goods. Meanwhile other products from different manufactorers are coming out or are making important deadlines. I don't think such a supplier should be surprised to lose your business all together or atleast see a strong decline in people willing to use his product. Don't make promisses if you know you wont be able to keep them, it shows contempt for your users.

Anyone who has followed the gaming industry for more than two weeks (sorry) should know by now that deadline creep is a fact of life.

It just is.

Your analogy [spelling??] is entertaining, but I don't think Oleg has given any promises for a very long time. He is using phrases like "I hope to start showing updates..." and such. Oleg is holding his cards extremely close to his chest. But he seem to be keeping what he is promising.

Not making excuses but ....

I may be mistaken but didn't the week long "Russian Vodka Fest Interational" start on Sunday Evening? Its a week long cultutral event to promote World wide peace and understaning!

So theres a week for the festival another 4 days sobering up. and three days to fix up all the mistakes made in the last 4 days.... hey that makes two weeks!

I'm waiting for Oleg, And it is his decision when to give update. According to his words, it will be today, but again I can't promise.

I visit this site at least once a day and have done so more or less since it opened. I have enormous respect for Oleg and 1C, but I never really post as I never have anything worth adding to the various discussions.

I've nothing useful to say today either, but I was really looking forward to something this Monday. Just this once, I'm going to allow myself a

'WWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH'

Phew. Won't happen again - I just had to get that off my chest.
