You seriously think it's my pc thats the problem?
Common logic should tell that il2 cliffs of dover is the problem.
I did post my specs back to some that PM'ed me, many from forums and some of the developers. All the tips you wrote here they suggested aswell + more. Nothing helped.
The problem was also with two other computer I own. All three computers have different specs. Some have nvidia, other have amd, one has a combi of i7 processor and amd card the other i7 with nvidia card and so on.
I work with IT so I can clearly say: it's not the computers.
And I think that all have issues with the input delay, some just doesn't notice it.
Do a test: Look down in the cockpit and look at the joystick there. Then look at your own joystick. Move it very fast left and right and you will clearly see that the in-game joystick moves a tad after your joystick.
It's like the pilot in game tries to mimic your movements as fast as he can. And it is horrible to play like this! My movements should be immediately input in the game, not 0,1 seconds after, not 0,2, not 0,5...but at the same time.
Do a video of it and convince me that you have no input lag, then I believe you.
Some friends of mine have il2 cliffs of dover too and I asked them if they had input lag. They said no. I went over to them and tested their game...and guess what...they had input lag. about 0,5 second! but they didn't notice it!
But when i showed them and explained they realised it.
I have no lag on animation of the control surfaces or the interior controls as you have in your videos with my MSFFB2 stick.

I can replicate the lag you have by adjusting the sensitivities of the Axes inputs in the controls settings, leaving them at default has no input lag at all.

This is also the same in all the flight sims I have installed, as a direct comparison to IL2 1946, CoD has the same control surface and animation responses, both look identical.

With the sliders in the centre the lag is slightly more noticeable, moving them to the default positions (green arrows) there's no delay.

Do you have your mini-stick mapped to anything other than pov? If so it is known to give input lag.
Hope that helps [/QUOTE]

I will try these two things. I remember I messed with the axes sensitivity menu but maybe I didnt set it like you did.

I will try this tomorrow

Tried the two tips provided in my previous mail. Still half a second input delay.
I noticed my keyboard has no input delay since when I pressed the left or right arrow buttons the plane immediately responded.
As of my Saitek X52 stick it has half a second delay.
I went to test Rise of flight just in case since it has been a while, no input lag there.

My specs:
Intel Core i7 960, 6GB DDR3, X58 chipset, HD 6950 2GB DX11, 60GB SSD
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Satek X52 joystick.

Any chance you could try a different joystick ( just to eliminate the Saitek from the mix) ?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I see you have an ATI card. Have you deleted the Logo.wmv in the main game subfolder .../parts/core/GUI ??

Oh, and although there is Graphics delay, is there delay in the aircraft response (sorry again if this has been asked).

This is the only joystick I have.
The logo thing does nothing for the input delay. I have had it deleted before and not with same result.
And it's not graphical. It is delay. From when firing guns to move the axis. Half a second.
When I press the keyboard I get immediate respons like it should.

Not sure if that's been asked already, but did you delete all the config, catch etc. files from the Documents\1C SoftClub\ folder?

I tested it again yesterday, just to check if i was also experiencing input lag, but i have absolutely no lag at all. But i'm always a bit suspicious when i see all those catch files that CloD is creating. I think they do more harm than good over the long run, so i delete them regularly, especially after a few days ago, i got weird stutters and solved them just by deleting the cache.

If you're using the Saitek software (i'm not familiar with that), could it be that it has different profiles for different games?

Is there lag in the Windows Device properties window for the stick while the game is running? i.e. is it ok in Windows and lag actually happens in the game or does the game cause a lag in Windows?

EDIT:

If its only in the game is there a delay on both the IN and OUT indicators on the screen KG26_Alpha posted before or just the OUT?

EDIT2:

You may have stumbled onto something. You get immediate response from keyboard inputs. I wouldn't have keys assigned to controls where I use an Axis in case of conflicts. Delete the key settings.

In Nvidia Control Panel, there is an option may called "Prerendered Frames" you could set from 1 to 8. Reducing rate to 1 was helpful to get rid of input delay. I don't know if the same option is available in ATI CCC.
Updating or choosing the right driver for your soundcard may help also.
