But it's weird I have no problems with my other sims.
I thinkl that all people here actually do have the input lag, but some don't notice it due to low FPS or just that they have no problem with half a second delay or just don't notice it.
Some people notice or are more sensitive to things than others.
I used to have input lag but it's not there any more (last couple of patches + GFX card upgrade have sorted that out). It was most noticeable when firing guns as delay would often mean missing a deflection shot. Not sure if it's totally gone or just reduced to milliseconds but it's not noticeable any more and my FPS is high enough so that the game runs very smoothly unless there are lots of planes about.

Suggesting that everyone has a 1/2 second input lag but don't notice it or choose to ignore it is just crazy talk.

I just put a 9800gtx+ in my pc to replace the 560ti 2gb for testing.

I left the settings in the NV panel the same, and lowered the CloD graphics gui.

Input lag is very noticeable and deflection shooting almost impossible.

Perhaps somethings wrong on your PC regarding this area ?

All my other sims I have no input lag. Il2 cliffs of dover I have.
You seriously think it's my pc thats the problem?
Common logic should tell that il2 cliffs of dover is the problem.
I did post my specs back to some that PM'ed me, many from forums and some of the developers. All the tips you wrote here they suggested aswell + more. Nothing helped.
The problem was also with two other computer I own. All three computers have different specs. Some have nvidia, other have amd, one has a combi of i7 processor and amd card the other i7 with nvidia card and so on.
I work with IT so I can clearly say: it's not the computers.
And I think that all have issues with the input delay, some just doesn't notice it.
Do a test: Look down in the cockpit and look at the joystick there. Then look at your own joystick. Move it very fast left and right and you will clearly see that the in-game joystick moves a tad after your joystick.
It's like the pilot in game tries to mimic your movements as fast as he can. And it is horrible to play like this! My movements should be immediately input in the game, not 0,1 seconds after, not 0,2, not 0,5...but at the same time.
Do a video of it and convince me that you have no input lag, then I believe you.
Some friends of mine have il2 cliffs of dover too and I asked them if they had input lag. They said no. I went over to them and tested their game...and guess what...they had input lag. about 0,5 second! but they didn't notice it!
But when i showed them and explained they realised it.

Look dude you can be set in your convictions if you want but of all the concrete problems this game has-oh and there are a freakin huge bunch of them-inpt lag isnt one of them.
If it was there would have been an uproar about it.
Now with my hardware (i7@4.5/GTX580/16gigs yadayadayada) theres no lag but the animation is choppy.
Further if I want to change the sensitivity I can, via the sensitivity settings at will.

Also, just in case you missed it:

The people here have demonstrated that they are the most discerning and complaint prone customer base in the gaming world. Something like that would go over like a lead balloon.

I have no lag on animation of the control surfaces or the interior controls as you have in your videos with my MSFFB2 stick.

I can replicate the lag you have by adjusting the sensitivities of the Axes inputs in the controls settings, leaving them at default has no input lag at all.

This is also the same in all the flight sims I have installed, as a direct comparison to IL2 1946, CoD has the same control surface and animation responses, both look identical.

With the sliders in the centre the lag is slightly more noticeable, moving them to the default positions (green arrows) there's no delay.

Not sure when you tested it the last time, but i had input lag up until one of the latest beta updates.

I would give it a try if i were you.
