No, that's currently not possible.
The engine needs mods to be applied for resource check, otherwise anti-cheating measures would be ineffective. And a simple downloader is not yet planned. |

TNX, then how about a mod identifyer option, to know wether the host plays without mod or with wathewer SOE2 or BTHRL or other mod ? To know withc mod we should download from the web then.

when y will join a game with mod - the game shows y an error:

Hmm... so fort the error message in FoW worked but without saying the line "the item(s) "mods/xyz" is not found" or I have not put enough attention to it. TNX for the info.
