On the web you can post what you think without the artificial filter that usually goes in place between your brain and mouth to make your comments more palatable for the listener. At the same time it can shortcut the brain/mouth link so you type on instinct rather than rationale; posts tend to be more "in your face".

I actually disagree with some of this, anonymity brings out your true colours. If you're a dick but you hide it in social circumstance then... well... you're an absolute cock online. This seems to be frighteningly common.

Yes I did prove the point of the thread, I make a truthfull comment and it gets negative reaction from the addresee simply because it does not pander to their state of mind.

If you were stood in front of me now I would say exactly the same thing, that's the point, you act like you do because you know you will never have to face any physical confrontation as a result.....oh the irony

You don't discuss anything, you just throw you mental garbage at people and close your ears as soon as somebody questions it and then you do the harmless simpleton act despite the fact you claim to be educated up to the eyeballs (which haven't featured in a raaaid thread for a while).

Actually, I've called plenty of people idiots, morons, twits, fools and a number of other things straight to their faces in real life today. It's part of what I do for a living that lets me do just that.

Some of it is said with humor, some are said with deadly seriousness. I rarely, if ever, sugarcoat things in real life, and I am actually a nicer person online than I am in real life. If people don't like it, it's their own problem. Some like me way I am, some don't. All will have to choose: Take me the way I am, or don't take me at all.

Edit: I can also add that I am a firm believer in treating people like they behave. If you act ok and are nice, I will treat you ok and nice. If you are a blithering fool and an utter idiot, I will treat you as such.
