You dont have Steam in your country? Buying the boxed version will not help you compare, Steam (that you dont have in your country) will automatically update you to the last official patch. It is however good to hear that you uninstalled your free copy given to you by your friend, I would imagine he must have bought it through STEAM for you, because like you stated you dont have a boxed copy and then you re-purchased it through STEAM later in order to support the development but this time paying yourself. Thats commendable, unbelievable but commendable.

There have been some decent posts in this thread, don't ruin it with a slanging match please.If you have issues with each other, take it to PM.
