I've watched this "movie". It was more like a dramatized documentary if you ask me. I went in watching it as a movie but the "story" is very incoherent and fragmented so you need to watch it with a more educational mindset. It has some nice tank scenes in it, that's about all I remember from it, very mediocre.

P.S If you want to watch a good "war movie", check out "Nanjing! Nanjing!" if you like "heavy" stuff and not so much big explosions and shooting only. It's quite recent and a movie that deserves more attention than it has received. It's about the Japanese occupation and subsequent slaughter of the people of Nanking in China during the 30's. It's very good because it's balanced, it shows the Japanese doing horrible things but at the same time it gives a more nuanced view on some of the Japanese soldiers, they weren't all blood-thirsting raving mad murderers. It has some really powerful scenes.
