My other half works in the fragrance industry and she tells me how much of the stuff that they used to put in perfumes/soaps/deoderants etc, has been banned because it's carcanagenic. Even today stuff is still getting banned by the EU. However they still use these ingredients in poorer countries because they aren't banned there yet.

So you have a point.

Some are worse than others. Different companies have different rules. There are EU regulations covering it all but some companies (Boots in the UK for example) have much tighter regulations, whilst others sit right on the edge..

When my daughter was young my missus made sure that we only used Boots products on her.

I once knew a girl who never washed or showered. She said that after a while your body adjusts to the situation and you no longer smell.
I didn't tell her but she was very wrong. Nice, but wrong...and a bit pongy.
