a rather important outcome for a small poll
Nope.

can you and your team and 1C guarantee that there is a bright future for CloD in the near future?
Nope. How could anyone possibly guarantee that?

Can I ask a moderator to delete this thread, as the vacuous whine it is...

Come on people. He's not breaking any forum rules just by having an opinion and he has worded the whole thing in a perfectly acceptable, polite fashion, which is more than can be said for a lot of posts here.

Let the man have his say

well since you did take time to do a poll . ..

remember politics is what killed this game, so if you're asking the devs to go political lyrical man, forget stealth, be prepared for sudden death.

now on the main course

part of a cliffhanger is a) the cliff

why? cuz in a cliff hanger, you don't wanna know if hero and his team lives or dies. You let that anxiousness and wonderment build up.

If you saw the hero and crew dangling from safety wires, because of a camera angle change, it kills the movie immersion.

If you see the camera pan down and realize the cliff is only 5 feet off the ground, it kills movie immersion even more.

Suddenly you see the end where everyone's all happy and hunky dory, you want your $15 back.

I think 1C is doing this deliberately. We're excited at the possibilies. Or at least I am.

the devs or the publisher aint going to give time tables

because if its a month, its too short and they'll leave something out

if its a several months, people will complain they could have invested their $45 into a 401K or such investments and would be millionares.

if it's a year, they'll say IF ROF was broken, and that's a huge IF like that IF never happened ever in a million years because this is the golden child of Aviation here. Move over Amelia and Svetlana Kapanina and the SU-26 cuz it ain't never happened.

But it was never broken and had a near perfect release, and if it was broke like CLoD they would did it 2 days.

And their fans would get twitter updates every 30 secs to 60 secs.

if it's several years, they'll give this game the finger and say ROF will develop Korea, they have WOW warplanes and WOW planes thunder edition, and DCS P-51 blackshark or 1946 works.

And whole new generation of ADD kids used to Call of Duty 2000, Armitage 8, and Battlefield 9 will like this game.

And they won't realize for a second that the makers of Il-2 1946 did what George Lucas did, make an epic original series, then screw up the the sequels.

for promised features, they gave us an idea or better yet, one can figure it out. Fix the brokeness then once you're non broke and up and running . . .

Finish serving the main coarse and desserts (extras / features) will come after

if the devs and 1C can guarantee a bright future the game would have been allowed to develop to a point we wouldn't be having these issues.

The only guarantee you can expect are A) God doing good B) Devil doin' bad D) death C) taxes (yeah its intentional).

That's it man.

Its not likely Luthier knows the future. He's probably has one eye looking over his shoulder at the beancounters, and another eye on his coders hoping something good happens before their patience runs out.
