Install the game but fly just two planes ?

That sound more like a Demo than a free game.

You can all the game content, including updates, and it never expires. That's not a demo, that is a full version game.

I think only the demo is limited to two planes?

Not 100% sure in that I have the full game..

And I think the full game is what David was refering to?

In that RoF has it set up such that two planes come with the weapons mods for free..

Where as the other planes you would have to pay for the weapons mods

I really love where 777 is going with this!

This taylor your plane to your liking is pretty dam cool!

That and the pay for DLC has an aditional benifit that no one is taking into account..

That being paying $200+ for a game has a filtering effect..

Where the filter filters out the following..

1) The kid-os who can not convince thier mama to pay $200 for a game
2) The minimum wage starbucks barista types out there that get upset and leave when they realise that everything is not free in this world!

Makes for a much more enjoyable online experance IMHO

My mom said never to jump into a two seater with strangers, even if they offer me a weapons mod....

That is cool! The other night some kid-o jumped in as my gunner and starting shooting at blue sky.. I simply pulled my 45 and put him to sleep! Good times!

Now I wasn't aware you could do that. There've been times when someone's jumped in my back seat and started shooting at friendlies and even at my own wings. I always forget to change the settings when I'm flying.

Now I have to go buy a colt. Thx for the tip.

On the topic of RoF. It is a good game, and has come a long way from launch. It still has issues so many people seem to forget when people bring up how perfect it is.

1. AI is still very stupid.
2. If the RoF server is offline, you cannot play online or even fly single player career.
3. FM's for German planes are still not right on the Alb series.
4. Career mode has been in "beta" for a loooong time. It is very weak compared to many other games.
5. Online (for US as far as I can tell) is desolate. Not a huge deal for me but big for others.
6. No coop career.
7. Jason Williams. Makes it out to be 777 is always closing its doors if you dont buy something. Sob story of sorts, even though it is a very popular game. Then makes snide and rude comments to users on the forum. He needs to work on people skills, and customer appreciation.

I like RoF. I own alot of planes, as well as extras (weapon and field mods), but I dont kiss the butt of 777 like most.

I think people would love to see how much money they spent on the game goes to development, and how much goes to supporting the devs lifestyle.

Also, RoF is WW1, comparing it to WW2 game is kinda odd. Yes its good, but until it does the more complex area of WW2 planes, its hard to say one is better than the other.

Agreed, it is far from perfect and it has been out for how many years now?

On that note, I have had more CTDs in RoF than CoD
