HTA,

checked with a track i made before the last patch.
I did first one run with the original game:

Avg./Max./Min. 26/42/9

Then i applied the patch and did several runs (cleared cache before):
1. 36/57/23
2. 32/52/17
3. 31/53/19
4. 31/54/20
5. 31/53/17
6. 31/54/19

So definitely faster and on my system it seemed smoother as well.
Interestingly the first run with a cleared cache folder was the fastest ....

k2600/ stock speed
8GB Ram
ATI 6950/2GB
Win 7/64

Have you tried the modified AI in quick missions yet? It makes the AI a lot more realistic and you won't need to worry about the impossible maneuvering.

Guys I haven't been able to try it yet but one thing I notice is that many posters don't give their specs: Hardware including native resolution, OS, DX version, GPU manager settings and game settings. Thats really important if devs are going to assess and understand any problems.

Suggest you go back and edit your posts and add any missing specs.

Just saying its great or its naff doesn't mean anything unless you say what you are trying to run.

Thanks 1C for giving us something to spend the time, the discussions on the forum were getting a bit of nonsence...

Nice weekend (what is left of it)

My FPS is horrible now. I set graphics to medium and turned off grass and set low on buildings and trees, which was not needed before, i used to play with most setting high. It was somewhat ok offline. When i tried online my FPS during take off and fight was simply unplayable. Then when i got hit and tried to bail out i got CTD (after having played for 10 mins maybe). Well back to ROF again. This looks like we are moving nowhere.

Well emptied all my cache prior to installing the patch, installed patch and kept my settings the same as before the patch my FPS dropped by at least 25FPS, increased my settings and my FPS nearly went into single figures!

Windows 7 64bit
5770 ATI 1 GigRam GDDR5
8mg Free Ram
ASUS Motherboard

Use this tool to fine tune AI http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=31573

They just have their "Advanced Flying" skill set too high by default.

It seems that AA started to work at least on some systems. If you have lower FPS after the patch check if you have AA on in game and in drivers. AA puts a lot of load on GPU.

Compare before/after FPS under the same conditions - with AA off both in game and in drivers.
