Yes you can. You need to create an aircraft close enough to the one you wish to crew. Then you can return to the menu and click on the gunner position you wish. Its a little bit tricky to click as the list moves. Also, please don't hop in and out of people's gunner spot as it removes the AI.

I tried a few times, thanks for the proper instruction's...how do you know if you have a human pilot?

You cant switch to that position and the plane is actually flying and not crashing to the ground... no AI in multiplayer... least on ATAG server.

Thanks Wolf!

Regarding the gunners, as Doc was saying it takes some teamwork between the PIC and the gunner to have some success but for me, ts3 coms is the the most important factor to multicrew survivalbility.

So does each bomber have their own ts Chanel/room?

Typically no, as there are usually fighters trying to escort or sweep for the bombers. You certainly could go into your own channel if you wanted to though.
