Okay, no point releasing something that doesn't work but what I don't understand is how it can change so rapidly from 'testing going well, hope to release this week' to a beta test failure obviously so serious as to warrant a rewrite of the patch ?.

It's one of those cases where Murphy intervenes, excrement hits the rotary atmosphere agitator and such things.

Aka sh*t happens

Well aquainted with that theory but on the subject of sh*t happens, a flight sim with constipation, thats a new one on me. It's in obvious pain and then every so often it goes red in the face, its seems reasonable (and likely) to expect a performance and then....PFFFFT.......ahem.

Somebody, somewhere must be in overall charge of this, and I mean above Luthier? They must be having a meltdown that makes the forum ranters look like baby bunnies.

Not too sure about that. Devs say BoM is based on CoD engine, they want to sell BoM. Even among the CoD zelots (never mind the 'normal' simming community) who will jump in on BoM without some tangible proof the basic engine underneath it works ? Add to that the fact BoM is almost entirely fought over land, frequently at low level, nah, somebody will be frothing at the mouth over the prospect of that payday slipping away.

Anyway, looks like feeding time at the zoo is upon us, will leave you all to it and see whats what next week.

The preferred method would have to be NOT replacing the entire graphics engine in a game that is already released, as this isnt how things should be done, but in this case have to be done, we have to understand that things will not happen as they should.

We are all frustrated... I am sure the Dev team is as well... they want to make new games and continue on into the future... spinning their wheels on an already released game cant be fun for anyone...

It feels like I put 50 bucks in a "future game savings account". Now I'm just waiting for the day I can withdraw the game and play.

Oh well, at least the company didn't just pull up stakes and leave town in the middle of the night.

Thanks B6. It's tough being the messenger. I appreciate the update. Thanks to the development team for trying to get this out the door with few or no errors.

Like everyone else I'm frustrated, but hey. What'cha gonna do?
