Since you own the Warthog HOTAS why not try DCS: A10c Warthog? Probably one of the most realistic and enjoyable flight sims you'll ever own, and owning the Warthog HOTAS means you don't have to fiddle with joystick configs. Every button will do exactly what it should do on the actual aircraft by default.

I use my Warthog all the time in RoF and 1946. Strangely enough, even though I've bought DCS: A-10, I've not so much as booted it up yet. Jet sims don't do a lot for me, especially when they don't focus on A to A combat. One of these days...

I wish DCS would do the F-16, and effectively give us Falcon 5.

The cause of the sadness is this

I'm hoping that things are going to be cheerful this week and the warthog can resume it's rightful place on my desk again.

Here's hoping

Your life sounds like a true tragedy. My heart feels like it's pumping custard after reading your post.
Hopefully it will be full of rainbows and unicorns after just a few more sleeps.

PS If the sight of the Warthog is too much for you to bare I'll gladly take said reminder of you grief of your hands.

My Warthog wasn't even unpacked from when I've come back from England, a year ago. There was nothing worth making me unpack, install and config the monster
