If the patch is NOT competent it will cause a storm on this forums. If the patch is competent we will still have our round of nay-saying whines.

It is no win situation.

It will be best to release Patch when devs are confident with release, not before.

Never on a Friday. Always early in the week. This way if there is a huge bug that rears its ugly head they can quickly release a fix for it. If you don't get it by Thursday I think it will be next week and on a Monday.
