now, with the N680GTX and the same settings as above, i am having an average of 19-38 FPS! and i just couldn't believe how nearly smoothly it was running, the performance improvement was really really MAJOR here! it became nearly stutterless and, now definitely PLAYABLE/FLYABLE...

so far, i no longer need to wait for the new patch as i got my il2cod "fixed" somehow..

my other system specs are: i5 (oclocked to 4ghz), 8gb ram, win7 64bit
Congratulations on the new card but if I may say so you were your own worst enemy with those settings on the old card. Such high settings (with the current graphics software) for Forest plus Grass and SSAO 'on' were always going to drag that card down. Also if you were near buildings, Buildings Detail and Buildings amount set so high could have been a problem.

Even with your new card your only just getting playable fps. Try turning some of those down and watch it leap forward. Big hitters are SSAO and Grass (do we need waving oversized grass?), I'd play with those to start with. Get up to 40-60fps and its a new world.

btw Anti-Aliasing x16 does nothing at the moment. It seems only x2 is working at the moment. You could try turning it off and setting it in your graphics card manager instead.
