Churchill's few documentary

New docs are nice in all their HD "glory". But this one (old one) is one of the best Ive ever seen. Not only because "the few" are telling their stories...

Good post.

At about 36 minutes thre's a reunion with the pilots who suffered burns. Terrible injuries and still needing treatment in 1985.

That was a big fault with regard to the Spitfire and Hurricane. A large petrol tank in front of the instrument panel

No, seriously, the mechanical linkage of valves pressure directly in the cockpit might hve been more the problem when it comes to catastrophic tank failure (e.g tank burning) as the low pressure point was.... the cockpit zone (outside air pressure being raised by dyn press).

Of course this is a strong point with egg packed engines and direct injection. They might hve worked on the eng ctrling feature for late Merlins.
