Totally...

We're using ACRE mod to have realistic communication as speech source volume/position and working radios (effective distance, transmission issues). You can understand which soldier you're talking with since the direction of his voice (position), the volume (distance) and of course the 3D model moves his mouth (probably is looking at you too, if the guy uses TrackIR like we do). Here we're joking... listen at voice's power and source position (http://vimeo.com/32019499)

Ragarding the landscape; Arma2 has a feature that in part balances the resolution issue of every videogame... simply the land at 500m from you is not covered with grass, so you can easily spot enemies at distance.

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.
