as for the erth radius my main point is as long as i say earth is 600 km radius based on personal experience i hold more water than other who trusts blindly the system and havent measured it

also how did eratosthenes measure 800 km distance between syene and alexandria to obtain earth radius, history its a joke:

according history he paid a kid a gloden coin to go the 800 km counting steps

i think he was a lucky stupid, he could have perfectly measure it from the top of the alexandria tower by measuring how much lower is the sea horizont from the top of the tower than the true horizont

anyone knows how much amplifies a 10% of the kid counting wrong the steps would amplify into the obtained radius?

besides this experiment is intrinsecally flawed:

it can show earth radius for an infinite distant sun or obtain sun distance in a flat earth

measuring sea horzont from the top of a tower seems a much better way to measure earth radius

News Flash... People tend to like the same things, otherwise we wouldn't have trends.

What's more valuable is fact. I have driven a car more than 600 miles and I didn't circumnavigate the world. To ignore facts simply because you either don't want to understand them or can't is ignorance of the highest order, and a slap in the face to all of the great minds that the human race has produced.

Eratosthenes worked this out hundreds of years ago, quite accuratley. If you wanted to you could recreate his experiment and get the same result, you could, but you prefer to ignore it and are happier with your 600km... Even though you could get in a car right now and drive 600 miles and disprove your own theory/calculation.
