Thank you very much for your reply regarding 100 Octane fuel. The aircraft instruments appear not to show 100 Octane performance;100 Octane fuel is documented as one of the fundamental aspects of the Battle of Britain for the RAF.

Type of improvement:
Add 100 octane fuel modelling for all Spitfires and Hurricanes.

Explanation of Proposals:
100 octane fuel was in use by all of the Fighter Commans stations by the time of the BoB. Geoffrey Lloyd, British Minister of Fuel and Power said; “I think that without 100 octane we should not have won the Battle of Britain. But we had 100 octane.”

I'm surprised and a little dismayed by this question. Surely this would have been thoroughly researched by the 1C development team many years ago. For reasons unknown, the correct engine performance data for the Spitfires (all marks) and Hurricanes (all marks) was not implemented in Cliffs of Dover, which is both puzzling and regrettable.

There are reams of actual test data available to the public to support this statement (example: http://www.spitfireperformance.com/spit1vrs109e.html ), yet a question from a developer spokesperson debating the octane performance level, at this late point of nine months after the actual launch of Cliffs of Dover, is.....confounding.

I'm a devoted fan of Cliffs of Dover and spend many hours online flying the Hurricane Rotol and Spitfire 1a. So many aspects of this simulation are superb, and I trust all parties are dealing straight here and in good faith.

I'm not convinced we'll get what we need from 1c on this one. My hope is that modders find a way to make the changes for us.

I think you're a bit unfair to BlackSix, especially considering that he is a more recent addition to Maddox Games and, if I read his introduction threat at sukhoi.ru correctly, is not even in Moscow. As such he is dependent on what Ilya tells him and what not.

Thor, that could well be the case and actually I hope it is. I'm sure, however, that Black6 flies Cliffs of Dover just as we do and is well aware of the RAF fighters' performance shortcomings which do not correlate with 100 octane test data. That's why I'm puzzled by his "answering a question with a question" non-response.

Given his own words he is probably not aware of that particular issue. It's not that everyone is arms deep into the same things, he may be more interested in making missions (which also was his job the last time he worked for 1C).

I learned about the fuel from Ilya.
Now we have simulated the performance of engines taken from public test. What kind of fuel they used - such fuel in our game. Please don't ask me to look and learn these particulars, I have absolutely no time for it.
In the future, it may be introduced by the separation of the types of fuel.
