BTW BlackSix ... the screenshot of the russian village shows only wooden houses. I am a plastic modeller and I have seen numerous photos showing rural houses with chalk-white brickearth walls and a straw roof. I wonder if this was something common or limited to a certain geogeaphical area. No biggie, but simply obvious in its absence from said screens. |

These houses are typical for the western and central parts of Russia. What you say, is typical for the Ukraine and southern regions. If we do these maps - there will be other houses. |

The implication is that CloD is at 100 octane (but the engine models are porked) and the sequel BoM will have the option for 87 octane. 56RAF_phoenix EDIT: which doesn't explain the Blenny problems... except another porked engine model Last edited by phoenix1963; 02-10-2012 at 02:23 PM. B6, this specifically mentions an option within the menu to select. That does not mean you didn't include it, but from this reply it appears that you aren't including it? Even then I am unsure because your answer is ambiguous. IF there is 100 octane fuel for the aircraft already then it is not modeled. Please could you answer which fits your explanation: 1. It is already there but not modeled in FM. 2. It is already there but not modeled in FM and we are going to model it in FM in the CloD patch. 3. We have no plans to model it in the CloD patch but it will be modeled in BoM 4. We have no plans to model it ever Last edited by Osprey; 02-10-2012 at 02:35 PM. |

If you could ask Luthier to read the bugs report thread then maybe these issues could get addressed sooner, so we dont keep springing bugs on you that you have no knowledge of.

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...9&postcount=28 Every aircraft have a huge lack of prformance (except Spit IIa), the boost is useless - there is no noticeable speed increase, only a few % (except Spit IIa), the Spit I, Ia boost is only +6 lbs instead of +12 lbs (the 100 octane fuel need to +12 lbs boost), etc. In the past year was a lot of forum topics, but Ilja said, that the new FM is WIP, so we wait for what will be...

BlackSix,
Thank you very much for your reply regarding 100 Octane fuel. The aircraft instruments appear not to show 100 Octane performance;100 Octane fuel is documented as one of the fundamental aspects of the Battle of Britain for the RAF. May I refer you to the detailed post from "Klem", dated 11th Jan, on the forum thread for requested improvements: 01-11-2012, 08:45 AM klem Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,066 100 Octane fuel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Type of improvement: Add 100 octane fuel modelling for all Spitfires and Hurricanes. Explanation of Proposals: 100 octane fuel was in use by all of the Fighter Commans stations by the time of the BoB. Geoffrey Lloyd, British Minister of Fuel and Power said; “I think that without 100 octane we should not have won the Battle of Britain. But we had 100 octane.” http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchi...0-%200044.html http://www.nceastmgtf.com/modules/ev...rted%20Oil.pdf http://www.lago-colony.com/STORIES_R...HISTORY_DJ.htm A list of reports on another forum which I link to to save space (especially read "Appendix IV" for performance figures and the BATTLE OF BRITAIN section under "A. R. Ogston, excerpt from History of Aircraft Lubricants (Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc. Warrendale, PA USA), p. 12." for confirmation that "March 1940 Fighter Command converted all its Spitfire and Hurricane Rolls-Royce Merlin powered fighters to 100 octane"):- http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/avi...tml#post542367 and another listing combat reports mentioning 100 octane or +12lbs boost all from as early as May 1940 http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/avi...tml#post542707 Benefits: Historical accuracy/Realism. __________________ klem 56 Squadron RAF "Firebirds" http://firebirds.2ndtaf.org.uk/ |

I agree this would be a welcome addition and if it was server controlled then we could all do with it what we wanted. No more arguments. There is no doubt in my mind that the RAF was using it in their front line fighters in the BoB period. I've even seen reference to bombers and trainers using it too in this period. They had more than enough 100 octane stock piled at the time as official documents prove. |
