A million thanks! I don't do mods, either (not saying there's anything wrong with using them, I just choose not to) so your continuous support of this already marvelous gem is enthusiastically appreciated.

I've been away from IL-2 for quite a while (got kinda distracted with SH3/4 and then RoF), but I spent a few years with IL-2 a while back and always loved it. I saw something about the 4.11 release over on the RoF forums and just had to come by and see what was up.
WOW - this looks like a tremendous amount of very good work, and after dusting off my 1946 DVD and patching up to 4.11, I have to say I'm amazed how well IL-2 has survived and progressed after all this time. Just took a Bf-109F2 for what turned out to be a leisurely tour over Army Group Center's operational area (I'd forgotten how much harder it was to navigate in IL-2 than it is in RoF - got completely lost but actually managed to fly roughly along the mission plan and make it back home, thanks to that new invention called radio Thanks for all this effort and for breathing new life into this great old sim - fantastic job! |
