" - My proxy server (also hosting a forum) does not change IP & I do not lose internet connection myself, suggesting the issue is with COD itself not the internet connection. Well I don't know what to tell you. If the server has lost it's connection to the internet (steam servers) that's the only reason it would stop showing up. The static IP portion has nothing to do about it. I'd grab a tool that can monitor your network and you'll probably see it momentarily drops for some reason.
On the other hand, as a client, you could unplug your modem, go fix your self a drink, plug back in your modem, and you'd never get disconnected from the server you were playing on. But the server is screwed once this happens. |
