I thought the same thing when I first saw it..

But I dont even notice them anymore..

I think what is going on is my brain has learned to treat the 'monitor frame' the same way it treats the in-game plane 'cockpit frames'

As in if what I want to see (bogie) is being blocked by that 'frame' I simply move my view (head in my case with TIR) until I can see it

Now it seems very natural.. Only if I 'think' about them and look right at them do I notice them

Theres a reason for instrumenting a plane for test..
That being a pilots's 'perception' of what is going on can be very different from what is 'actually' going on.
