It's really not a bad idea (I mean gatlings/ironclads/railroads not nukes). As someone said CA is probably preparing ground for WWI:TW. It's next logical step. High time IMO. TW style game about Cold War and nukes are nearly finished (Wargame: European Escalation). I think CA wants his piece of "modern warfare" cake too.

If so is the case it would really sadden me. Not only that the tactics would be very different, how could possibly the scales be the same as previous TW games? Even though many WW battles were massive, it's about skirmish all the way, not lines. At the same time, aircraft would fill up a new slot, being a more deadly tactical factor than both tanks and all types of soldiers on foot. It doesn't make any sense I think, if they make a WW game. How would infantry be positioned? They'd have to use every building and stuff as cover, still not in a line, and the firing would probably last for hours and hours.
