No discernable improvement in game with latest drivers, but strangely I get driver crashes after I close the game. Peculiar.

I'm sorry to those who don't believe me.....all I did was upgrade from the 280.26 32 bit drivers I had, to the new (non-beta) 285.62 32 bit drivers that came out several days ago, and went from 12 to 15 fps. to 0ver 55 fps......I had cleared out and removed all traces of any Nvidia drivers and applications from my computer and started over with the whole WHQL 285.62 32 bit driver system and thats all....I have no Idea what it did to my system, but it took off.....

Exaggeration aside, it's very likely more a matter of something being wrong with his old driver install than an actual driver improvement.

Perfectly understandable flightdok. No big deal in my book. There's a read me for the new drivers if anyone cares to look to see what actually has changed.
W/ 32 bit and clod, i wonder if anyone experimented with ram settings in bios. Things like single channel mode verses dual channel, channel interlacing on/off, running ganged verses unganged...etc. Just another shot in the dark. Maybe it would help with some systems and the stuttering. |
