Darn - I've been beaten! Only flight sim in this thread I haven't played! A friend had a ZX 81 before I got my ZX Spectrum 16k (later upgraded to 48k), don't remember he had any flight sims though...

TFX was my introduction to combat flight sims, and I thought that the graphics and realism were truly awesome. It also ran brilliantly on my i486DX2 with 12MB RAM and a 2MB S3 Virge. The next one that blew me away was Jane’s USAF, and I was bitterly disappointed when I could no longer run it after upgrading to XP.
