So will this 'Big thing' that Luthier talked about some weeks ago be in the next big patch?
I'm wondering what it is |

Prefered the cockpit and landscape in the previous beta patch. Also my HAT switch has stopped working with the new patch. I have to admit I installed the patch on top of the previous beta patch, maybe I should go for a full reinstall...

After a complete reinstall my game is running better than ever and I can even run it at higher settings. I'm used to the cockpit now I think, but the landscape colours do look a bit off to me.

Hi luthier.
I ran Black Death before and after this patch, along with free flight over Dover and London, and found the following: - BD ran with a slightly higher average frame rate, despite explosions being more resource hungry. Cloud no longer renders in front of propeller. Less of a difference in average frame rate between first and subsequent runs (improved caching?). Definite improvement in sound quality and timing. - Larger performance hit when igniting fuel depot in Dover, but better frame rate once the depot is burning. Cockpit shadows and shadows in general seem more defined. Terrain colours/lighting appear more natural, but cockpit appears a bit over-saturated (default time of day). Sun is truly blinding, as I guess it should be. - London runs at a higher frame rate, and is in general a smoother experience. ‘Popping’ of building textures seems unchanged. On this note, as others have suggested, is it not possible to change the default colour of un-textured buildings to grey instead of brown – I think that this would make them a lot less obvious when not using the ‘unlimited’ setting. General: those blue lines on the horizon are back, and although not as obvious as they were previously, are still a huge disappointment. New music is a nice touch. Salute!

FPS are up for me, just flying the single sightseeing missions and alot smoother especially over London, now only get the the odd stutter , this is the best patch for perfomance so far for me.
The new cockpit colours are not as good as the last patch , better countryside though if only seems to be a little washed out. SYStem spec: single GEFORCE 560 driver version 8.17.12.7048, intell 3.0 ghz Q9650 quad core proccessor, win vista 64bit up to date , 8gb corsair RAM, Asus P5N-D Mother Board, using on board sound card. All graphic options set to Medium, shadows on , roads on, grass off, running at 1260x 980 psuedo Mode, no AA. Last edited by Bungmiester; 10-06-2011 at 10:04 PM. |
