Textures are not loading correctly, evne if at original everithing has a very poor quality texture, planes included. . didnt happen before.
FOR THE FORTH PATCH IN A ROW! 109 PP is still reversed, increase key, decreases, and decrease increases... fix this already. stutters and bad performance overall. Cant get close to any plane without massive drop on fps, no graphics option helps this one out, + the usual: AI building popping etc etc. |

Wow...Im amazed at the speed that the fix was put out!
overall I am yet again impressed at the patch. Things like colors, textures, etc are matters of opinion, so ill keep mine to myself in that regard. As to performance I noticed a slight drop in FPS, perhaps 1-2 fps at most with all settings on high and original textures, so no complaint there. Menue music works again, nice. loadout screens are once more manipulable, very nice. Only issue is with the 109 automation. E-4 had auto prop pitch, yes, but not automatic radiators. I understand that it can be turned off, ya sure, but it shouldnt be on in the first place. I would love to see some evidence supporting that they were, in fact, automated. But fact is that I havent seen any evidence, anywhere to support wide spread use of an automatic radiator system in the Emil. Like the new Revi sight, the focus is far better now. Any chance of making the shape true to life or is the gunsite representative of something other than the Revi C 12d? All in all very nice. The game continues to improve. Thanks to all.

well i know for a fact that the 109e4 rads aren't auto. try taking off and use them silly.

Took off, had a 5 minute furball at full power + war emergency and came home without once even looking at oil/coolant temps. Lo and behold, everything is nice and cool immediately after the fight. heck cant even manipulate the rads without turning off radiator automation.

No performance problems to report. I like the new cockpit rendering, sound and changes to haze, spotting distant ac, etc. The terrain colouring seems too vibrant compared with Beta 1, somwhere between Beta 2 and Beta 1 would be about right for me. I tweaked 'digital vibrance' in Nvidea CP to peg the terrain tones back.
Excellent work and many thanks Luthier and team. BTW, you do know that whilst you have included Boost enable/disable for the Spits - engaging Boost does nothing for the Mk1's and the MkII's are banned from most servers.

I'm running the game on 2560x1600, I play the game on mostly high settings (i use high textures, medium trees, the rest are highest settings), no AA, and I was getting about 30 fps flying low in the london sightseeing misson, a record high. For me the stutters have almost all but disappeared. In previous beta i was getting about 15-20 fps flying low, and with stuttering. So in my experience this beta was a drastic improvement. The clouds and particle effects still lower my framerate badly (down to 9 fps at lowest), so I hope there is something the dev team can do about it. Good work Luthier and team, I think you guys have made much progress!
BTW i'm using 285.38 Nvidia drivers. SLI enabled, but dunno if it is working in the game. I just leave it on because i play battlefield bc2 alot and need the SLI for that. Oh yeah, before installing i cleared the cache. And I did use the hotfix posted for the beta 2. Anyone else seeing similar improvements? |
