BETA patch. BETA. It means UNFINISHED. My goodness. Don't you realise that when you download a beta patch you are supposed to be doing so to HELP the devs improve it. So you are supposed to provide specific feedback about crashes and bugs, specs and crashlogs, to HELP improve the patch. Congrats to those who realise this and post useful info for the devs.

- what you or the game were doing when the problem happened (loading a mission, flying mission X in aircraft Y.)
- what the result was (game freeze, crash to desktop, stuttering, fps drop)
- informed speculation about the cause
- your sys specs, drivers, operating system

Those of you who are moaning and complaining that this BETA patch has problems should not download beta patches! Wait for the final patch, (and complain about that!)

It seems like fannying around with the XP version has just caused more (uneccessary) problems for this sim.

Installed it. Colors are very nice. Framerate is good! I cleared my Cache before install. The E4 is a dream to fly. Cant change radiators though. It never overheated. London was pretty jerkey for me but then my puter is pretty old. Cross country is very smooth. No combat yet.

So far:
-I like new colors/lightning, maybe bit too much contrast in cockpits but otherwise very nice and sharp
-new sounds are great, landing gears, stall & g noise, wind noise when cockpit/sidewindow is open etc.
-maybe a bit more micro stutterin at low level but not much
-no crashes so far but only less than hour playing
-E4 automatic prop pitch works, radiator/oil cooler doesen't. And sidewindow opens right direction now.
