S!

No my GPU is not part of the Hadron Collider Experiment

Yeah it does effect only steam games, i have no problem what so ever with non steam games.
My PSU is about 1 year old and i have no other related problems i guess that would present themselves if it were a PSU issue.

I will disconnect my card, reboot my pc without the card and fully uninstall all ATI drivers, reboot. Shutdown. Reinstall Card and drivers and pray.

I really cant afford a new card right now

Either glitch in drivers or faulty video RAM.

this is getting depressing as I have changed my drivers already, its pointing to a funked card isnt it

Since you say you have this problem only in Steam games, try to disable Steam overlay in CloD (right-click on the CloD in Steam list, properties, uncheck Steam community).

I have done my dx and thats fine, turn off those settings and its not as bad i think, but i have black squares that flicker on the ground in cliffs as well now.

Is it possible that the constant crashing of the game and it never using real full crash has screwed me gpu?
