The problem is "by design".

v1.02.14821 Release Patch notes state "Reworked Spitfire visuals". This is the weathering & paint chipping you cannot turn off.

New patch has fixed the Spitfire visuals at last, I had all but given up hope.

Amazing detail on the skin..even in WIP.

(Wonder how the 320 (Dutch) Squadron in CoD will look. After the Fokker TVIIIW/G floatplanes, they used the Avro Anson Mk.I from Aug 1940 till Jul 1941)
