Fly higher
to be honest I have a pretty good rig but the clouds and smoke kill my system. I have reduced the resolution to improve my ability for spotting enemy aircraft online and as a consequence get much better frame rates in cloud. |

Considering the beta patch, we wanted to see if cloud performance was better/worse/ or the same. Seems to be the same. So we turned them back off (only a slight sprinkling of clouds here and there)

It is a well known fact by now that, no matter what hardware you are running on, clouds have a massive impact on performance, I do dare say it's the same for everybody.
So while upgrading little by little is generally an advisable thing optimisation of cetain things in flight is still needed and the devs, I am sure, are aware of it and working on it. |
