It used to be a cultural thing but now I find that it happens in every country in every walk of life. I'm talking about over promising and under delivering.

I don't get the reasoning behind it. If I were Luthier I would have said "sometime next week" even I knew it wouldn't be out in time so it bothers me that people do this, why don't they give themselves some breathing space and manage people's expectations?

I know he said "no earlier than Monday" but he shouldn't have mentioned a day at all. I'm not surprised, I wasn't expecting it to be on time.

Well, he did say "no earlier than".

If people want certain words to mean what they would prefer them to mean and act like they do, it's not the developer team's fault

well, actually what happens has no sense at all..

hey said by Friday that they would have been ready, if it wouldn't have been that "small" bug with the online map.

now, any sane reason would read that as in it should not take longer than another day at most to fix the damn thing and get the near Friday release on track for Monday..

Yet, Luthier said no earlier than Monday..

But we're already on Tuesday late afternoon and still no sign of the famous patch.. which means either that the Friday "we've almost did it" was simply a lie, either.. sorry, I can't make any other sense to it..

Even more on this, the patch is a beta one, as in not intended for official release. But it is also not intended for us to test it neither, as none of the beta patches were released as they were (ie all of the officially released ones had another patch number, ie they were in fact other patches).. So, if so, why bother about some damn too tall grass on a map none of us was really expecting (as in no one expected the patch for that damn map)?!!

It simply makes no sense at all..

Well I have to agree...I

thought the same when he posted that...its a Beta so release it so we can test the sound, the FM fixes, the colors, the new AC..Im pretty sure no one cares about a map and 'that' could of made the official release..

Just my 2 cents

From now on I gonna activly not wait for the patch as I think it might have the same result as lighting a fag/cigg while waiting for the bus.

Are people here still struggling with the language here:

Luthier: "So, barring more botanic discoveries, we’ll have it out no earlier than the end of the day Monday"

No earlier than = it will not be released before end of day Monday (i.e. will be sometime after Monday)
No later than = it will be released by or before end of day Monday

As a few have stated before this post, no earlier than the end of day Monday means it'll be released between 00:00 Tuesday morning and anytime after that....

Jeeeeezzzz,
