Your dreams are not mine.

I think one has to realize that we all come from differing perspectives with respect to what we "want, wish for, dream about, etc...." We share products/community with:

- Movie makers
- Skinners
- Mission/Campaign Builders
- Online Server hosts
- Online War developers/hosts/organizers
- Modders
- Squads

MP is a movie maker. One of the most creative movie makers in the community. I can imagine he'd be excited about any product which would expand his palette.

While the many "guilds" associated with any simulation, add incalculable value to us - we that benefit from their efforts would be wise to understand that their agenda's may differ a bit from our own.

I don't see anything in World of Planes that attracts me in the least. I'm not holding my breath.

If you've experienced World of Tanks - which I actually have quite a bit of fun with, particularly now that I've learned how to manage my credit card transactions - you might agree with me that "Tanks ain't Planes".

I can't imagine what the average simmer who complains about small prices for add-on content will do when they actually run across this model. I limit myself to 29.95 per month for World of Tanks. When my money runs out - I stop playing.

Some people spend a whole lot more than that in a month.....

I don't think World of Planes has anything to do with World of Tanks. IIIRC you are thinking of World of War Planes. World of Planes is Wings of Prey 2. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

What is this thread for other than to antagonise people and cause more pointless arguments?

Because its interesting to fans of this genre.

If there is something important happening in another country. I can watch the news in my country and get some world news. I can talk about that news with my friends. I don't have to travel to that county to get their news and I don't have to find people (strangers) from that country to talk about it.

It is the snobs and trolls that cause the arguments not the subject.

Thanks Icarus for correcting my misperception.

Now I have a poorer view toward it. Acrade FM, arcade DM, heck there are first person shooters with better ballistics than WoP.

If they ever actually create a simulation - that could be called a simulation then I'll certainly reconsider.

This does get old.

Why did you just attack me? Did you not understand what I wrote?

I have purchased and paid for the WoP product. Yes, I have an opinion of it. I posted that opinion and you tell me to "Shut up"?

It's not like I post here all that much - and I cannot think of a time when I've been rude to you in the past.

Do you think that you are the only person entitled to their opinion here?

Look, I certainly don't go over to the WoP or "World of Planes" forums and extoll the virtues of CoD there.

Shut up was stronger than I intended thats why I edited my post before you posted.

What you said made no sense as you confused World of planes as being made by the world of tanks developers. WoT is a more arcade type game with only external cameras. Gaijin's Wings of Prey and World of Planes on the other hand has detailed cockpits that realistly simulates dogfights while cutting down on the more mundane aspects that CloD excells in.
Thus the fact that WoP is made by Gaijin makes it more sim like for you and your view should have gone up not down.

Robotic Pope - We aren't connecting and I guess whatever I write here has a good chance of being misunderstood, just like my first two posts.

1. I understood after comments made by other posters after my first post that World of Planes is not WoT. I made several comments unrelated to this issue in my post. Because I was in error in the last part of my first post, it does not necessarily invalidate the comments I made before that error.

2. I made the negative comments about Wings of Prey when I learned that World of Planes was developed by the same folks. I can understand how MysticPuma would welcome it as it has very creative graphics and he's the master of using many different types of content (other sims and games) in his movies.

3. You don't seem to understand what I have posted before, and the sequence of events.

So to make it clear. I don't like Wings of Prey based upon my personal and somewhat lengthy experience with the product. I don't hate it either - there are just better products for me.

Now, if World of Planes shows up as a high-end simulator - I'll buy it and most importantly use it.

For now, If I wanted a more arcade version of the air war in WWI, WW2 or Korea, i'd simply lower my settings in Rise of Flight or Cliffs of Dover, or even Il2.
