Yes you are right and it has been discussed many times here.
With this game in particular, but with computer games in general, caution is always advised if you are below or well below the recommended specs.

These days it seems one should be above, if not well above recommended specs to really run a game with everything turned on in terms of graphics.

I hope you are going to still read this and not just quit in frustration.

Buying win7 64 bit (home premium is the "standard") will be the best thing you can do for your computer in general, not only because of this game.

If you decide to buy it, come back here BEFORE you install it, and please do buy a new hard drive so you still have your old OS and hard drive intact, there are still some words of advice for you.
