I had this happen to me a couple of times when the sim was more unstable (quite a few patches back) and i use a different card (Ati 4870 1GB).

I don't know what fixed it (driver update or game patch) but i have never seen it since. In other words, it's not necessary that your card is bad.

Just as a precaution, open your documents folder and navigate to the 1c softclub subfolder. In there you'll find the game's shader cache (the patch is documents\1c softclub\cache). Delete everything in the cache folder and launch the game again.

This will force the game to rebuild the shader cache from scratch (it will take a bit longer to load into the menus as it rebuilds it), which might solve your problem.

I tried the cache thing today and it got wayyy better. Although I still have occasional flickers. I will try separating and reinstallng the grahics card later today (hardware).

Default finally solved ...

... even if it may not be so interesting for the community.

It turned out, that my graphics card (GTX 580 3GB) was the problem. I got it exchanged by my dealer - he had to send it in for analysis, as it is kinda expensive. Got the new one yesterday and all problems seem to be gone. Yeeeaahhh !
